I've heard there is a state agency one can call to request a list of licensed day cares in your area. Does anyone know what state department that would be or have the number?
Your County Emergency Management Office would have this information as well, as an up-to-date emergency plan is required for licensure/re-licensure! (I know this because I am a county emergency planner and this is my job!)
But pp is right - DPW is the agency to contact (though, good luck - it's always difficult dealing with them in my experience!)

Not sure if this link is clicky, but it will take you to the DPW website. You should be able to find the licensed centers in your area.
