Hi everyone - I'm new to thebump and this is my first post. My husband and I are expecting a wedding night baby in February. We were pretty shocked to say the least but are definitely thrilled to be expanding our family already!!! Everything is going great so far (except for the comments from other like "wow, you didn't waste any time!") but I wanted to see if anyone else is or was in a similar situation!
Thanks!!!
Kristen
Re: Wedding night babies?
I have a honeymoon baby on the way! EVERYONE made comments about how fast it happened but we planned it and we are excited that it happened so quick so I didnt let it bother me. Now the comments have died off anyways.
No wedding night baby here, but I just wanted to say congrats!
No one (outside of the happy couple) will ever think the baby timing was right - it always seems to be either "geez you didn't waste any time" or "well, when am I going to be a Grandma?, etc.".
We've narrowed down the conception to either the wedding night, or two days later in Maui. Don't get me wrong, we had plenty of "fun" that whole post-wedding week, we just pulled the goalie ONLY TWICE - and "bam!" - baby is coming!
Especially the friends and family who don't really understand the EDD is relative to your LMP, EVERYONE is going to have an opinion about quick babies. We're both full time students, which will be rather tricky, but like another poster mention - babies are blessings and we should feel super lucky for our fertility levels!
We waited til nearly our first anniversary to try for our first pregnancy, but huge congrats! My son was conceived in Valentine's day '06, so that's pretty special still.
Answer the next 'Wow, that was quick' comment with 'Yeah, it's amazing how fast those little buggers made it down my throat.' Then watch them gag.
Well this baby isnt a wedding night baby... but the one I m/c'd b4 was.
But thats so much fun! congrats!
Congrats! Our LO was conceived on our honeymoon. Everyone has been really excited for us but we have heard the "boy that was quick" comment a lot. I just tell them "I guess sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas"
Oh yes...Not quite wedding night baby, but just about as close as we could get. We were shocked, but very happy! Married in March, pregnant in May.
Everyone says the same thing, 'Wow, y'all didn't waste any time, did you?!'
