We're having a block party tomorrow

I'm excited because growing up my block never did it and we always went around the corner for theirs to live through them lol.  We just moved back to my old block in Feb and yay they are having one.  I got a ton of food and drinks and the weather is supposed to be great so hopefully it will be a lot of much needed fun.

The only issue is that DH's best friend is coming with his pregnant wife.  I'm not sure how far along she is but I'm really hoping she's not showing. Not sure if anyone would remember but this is the same chick that told me as soon as she peed on a stick (only the 2nd time I had ever met her) knowing that I had a m/c 3 months prior, and I burst into to tears at their kitchen table.  It's going to be awkward at best (hoping I don't cry again) but hopefully I can ignore it and enjoy the day.  Wish me luck!

    The block party sounds like fun.  We actually just got an invitation to one in our neighborhood, kind of a back-to-school thing.

    I hope that things go well with DH's friend's wife, too.  Hang in there....and have a few drinks, too!

    Thank you.  Growing up my mom hated the block parties b/c they were always right around back to school time.  She's a teacher and it was a glaring reminder that her summer was over!!

    Oh that sounds like a lot of fun!!! I hope you can ignore the FH and enjoy it.

    That sounds like sooo much fun!  I wish we had something like that.  I sure hope she is not showing and you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to..Enjoy yourself;)
