Seriously?! My sister just called and asked me what size shoe Nicholas was wearing today (I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know of the top of my head since I just got him remeasured 3 weeks ago). I thought she wanted to know cause she was offering to buy him shoes. Um nope, she said the shoes he had are too small and that's probably why he tripped yesterday. He's been tripping today too and my sister was like "WTF?". and checked his shoes to see if they were too big or too small. She says they are too small!!!! I'm like "What?!" I just had him freakin measured at the beginning of August and then got him 2 pairs of shoes in that size (sandals- 2 different styles). And they were not cheap either since he is in double wide size. I wonder if they measured his feet wrong or could they really grow in that 3 weeks?!
Ugh I was hoping to avoid getting shoes again until I needed to get him sneakers for the fall in a couple of months. so not happy. and I can't even return/exchange them since he's been wearing these shoes for a few weeks now.
Re: DS Brand new (3 weeks old) shoes are already too small?!
Are they really too small or is he tripping because he isnt used to the new sandals?
I bought Brady a new pair of sandals about 3 weeks ago and he is tripping all over the place in them. I think they fit differently on his feet or something. He is finally now able to run around again without falling down. But before it was happening multiple times a day.
Hopefully they arent too small already!!
yeah my sister said they are too small- his toes are at the very top (at least that's what she says I'll have to check again later when I pick him up).
I did get them at Stride Rite, but I don't have the box for them anymore or the receipt. All I would have is my Credit card receipt. Do you think they'd still take them back if I showed them my cc receipt?
Okay I called my local Stride Rite and they said I can bring the shoes back (with my cc receipt) and they will remeasure Nicholas. The Stride Rite guy even said 3 weeks seems a bit of a short time to already outgrow the shoes or Nicholas could have moved his foot slightly while being measured (which is entirely possible- you know how toddlers are).
So hopefully we can get the same shoes in a better fit even though sandal season is coming to a close.
I guess Nicholas and I are going to the Mall tomorrow after naptime.
