Is it worth getting a snap n go?

DS will be 4 months next week and I'm thinking of getting a snap n go. I hate the travel system we have and the jogger that I also have doesn't fit in my trunk and he's still too small for it. So I don't know what to do. I want the SNG bc it's compact and easy but is it too late in the game for us to get a good use out of it?how long do kids use it for?

  • Well technically they can use it as long as they fit in their infant seat.  But if you aren't going to keep using it or if you won't want to have to lift it in and out of the car all the time, it wouldn't be worth it to get the SNG.

  • if you plan on #2 i say go for it. I love my SNG and plan on keeping it for potential LO #2
  • I absolutely love my SnG, but honestly, I plan to start using our regular stroller fairly soon and DD is about the same age as your LO.  Do you have a friend or family member that has a SnG you can borrow for a short period of time?  If not, and you plan on having more babies, I think its money well spent.

  • Kaitlyn's 10.5 months old, 28.5" and we still use our SnG a lot.  She prefers to sit up in the travel system  but the SnG fits in my husband's car.  So I would say we use it about 50/50.
  • We loved ours but just bought a nice inselgina umbrella stroller. we're sick of hauling that infant seat around and dd is kind of a big girl:)
  • I LOVE my snap n go, but I wouldn't get one this late. I'd just switch over to an umbrella.
  • we love ours, but I dont see us using it as much in the near future because DS is getting big and likes to sit up in the stroller instead of in the car seat.

  • I never liked out Snap N Go, we probably only used it 4 times total. I love our stroller, however, so that has a lot to do with it. The Snap N Go takes as much space as our Citi Mini and is far harder to collapse/undo. And it doesn't maneuver nearly as well. I personally think the whole infant stroller/Snap N Go was a waste of money. I just got the convertible seat and i really should have done that right away. Oh well, live and learn.
