I got a BFP this past Tuesday.
And I still have 25 lbs I want to lose.
I know the basics of eating healthy and exercising, so if I keep doing what I'm doing, can I still lose weight? I mainly run.
I am 5'2 and weigh 150. I want to weigh 125, which is what I weighed when I got pg with DS.
I gained 50 lbs with DS. I'm thinking a 15-20 lb weight gain will be okay with this one.
Anything else I can do that I'm not thinking of?
Re: Is it possible to lose fat while pregnant?
Oh man.
Assuming that you are not experiencing any food aversions or illness what you can do is eat plenty of produce (organic is really the way to go...my opinion). Bulk up on big salads full of good things, snack on fruit and then you can fill in the other bits with slightly smaller portions...chicken, pork, beef or fish (avoid shark, macraral and tile fish or any sushi both raw or cooked!) as well as legumes.
Excercise, but be careful not to overexert yourself and stay very well hydrated, that being said....
Keep your water intake WAY up!!!! It will help your baby and it will help you process that food through your bod. PLEASE do not forget your prenatal vitamins too!
Be careful of trying to lose too much weight. Better than doing that, you should think about perhaps not gaining too much weight. I have walked every day or used the eliptical and I am still doing dance class (though I am not as actively involved as those non-pregos) and weights and I have not yet gained a pound in my first trimester.
When in doubt listen to your body and ask your doc!
Good luck!
