  I think the top one.  the straight edge fan seems to suite the lines in your room better.

   Post a pic with the new fan, which ever you choose...

  welcome to my life, lol.  We are not opposed to getting a fan without a light kit and adding a light kit to it.  If we do that I was eyeing this light kit

  First one. I dont like boob lights, so the second one is out for me. Plus I don't know if it would provide as much light as the first one.

  I like the first one

  This is making me want to get a new fan in our living room - I'd love one with a light kit, but I think we'd hit our heads on it... our ceiling fan seems really low.

  i think the first one will look better in your room.

  we have one just like the 2nd one in our bedroom, so i love it, but i agree with pp that the top one will go better with the lines of your space.
