14 Weeks and a little concerned

I am 14 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound the other day. When I saw the Dr. this morning she commented that the baby is 3oz already and is "a big baby". I am overweight and at risk for gestational diabetes so of course now my mind is running crazy! I checked online and the baby should weigh about 1.5 oz. Does anyone else have any experience with this, am I just being crazy?

    try and stay relaxed.  it is so easy to worry about everything but if there was reason for concern they would tell you.  are they sure you are not further along than you are and your due date is correct? being overweight wouldn't affect your baby's weight this early.  i am overweight and never had GD and only gained 20lbs during pregnancy. 

    congrats and enjoy being pregnant!! the kicks are coming soon and that is the best part!

    Thanks Christiney! Part of me knows that I am just driving myself crazy, but it is so hard not to. So far I have actually lost 5 lbs, which is another reason why I was so shocked that the baby was so big. But just hearing from someone else who is pregnant that it is normal to worry about everything is helpful, thanks again!
