rocker/glider: definitely want an upholstered glider but they are so expensive!

other must haves: My hubby is doing a closet organizer for all of baby's clothes and things, must have a toy box as well, as baby gets older they acquire lots of toys!
Furniture (Crib/Dresser, etc) color: White, Wood, or Other? We are planning on going with white because I think it will work well for boy or girl in the future and we bought a used dresser that will be much easier to paint than refinish and stain to match a crib
Rocker/Glider: Upholstered, Wooden or Other? This is going to be my big splurge for the nursery I think, I definitely want an upholstered glider with an ottoman
Gender neutral or specifically boy/girl? It will be specifically boy or girl once we find out the sex
Carpet or Wood/Tile floors? Carpet - I would like to tear up the carpet as we did in our LR/DR but both all of the bedrooms still have carpet and if we did one we should do them all and that's too much to do/spend right now
Baby's name on the wall or no? I'm leaning towards yes but not sure how I'm goign to do it yet.
Other must-haves? Bookshelves full of books and some sort of toybox/baskets for the shelves to keep the clutter hidden.

Rocker/Glider: Upholstered, Wooden or Other? I already have a rocker that I'm going to re-paint white. We also have a glider that won't match a single thing in the nursery, so we'll keep that downstairs and put the rocker in the baby's room.

Not necessarily name, but I love vinyl decals with images or sayings (DS's Peter Pan theme had "Off to Neverland..." above his crib)
If I have a girl, I definitely want either a small chandelier or a canopy...something girlie
and for any child, a regular sized bookcase FILLED with books is a must!

Other must-haves? I'm really just not sure at this point but will have some more ideas once we know the sex. I definitely want a really cute lamp that coordinates with the room, and I want super cute curtains. I know, they're trivial things, but I look forward to them.

We'll buy a khaki colored one so that it will match the babies room as well as our living room furniture for later

Gender neutral or specifically boy/girl? Well, it really is more for a boy, but since it's my last nursery I want the cute nursery I want and a little girl would look adorable in it. DH is Navy so I think it's cute.
Carpet or Wood/Tile floors? The cheapest, ugliest color of brown carpet you could imagine. (Mil housing, der.)
Baby's name on the wall or no? Maybe, we had it with DS but not DH. If this is a boy he'll have a short name, so may splurge on it.
Other must-haves? black-out curtains for nap time. My kids could never sleep with ANY light in the room. And a small table by the rocker/glider/chair for nursing. it's invaluable for putting your book, lansinoh cream for nipples, and nursing pads on. I always read at night, it was the only way to stay awake!
