I want a new perfume, any suggestions?

I'm going overseas and always try and treat myself to a new perfume when I go through duty free.

I love Romance by Ralph Lauren and have also enjoyed Allure, Allure Sensuelle, Chance and Chance Fraice by Chanel, and For Her by Narcisco Rodriguez

It's almost spring here, so I'm thinking something light and fresh for summer. I always find perfume counters overwheling because there are just too many options.

Any suggestions for a new perfume? or even tips for how to deal with perfume counters?

I really want to find a staff member who i can say, "I like x y and z, what can you recommend that I try?" and them say, "In that case you might enjoy a b and c."

Invariably however they say, "Well THIS is our latest release" or, "well THIS comes with a great free gift"

Help.

I so don't work at the counter, so I can't tell you that you will like my recommendations, but I do also like Romance by RL...

i like miss dior cherie and marc jacobs lola. also a huge fan of l'artisan fragrances, but i don't think they have them at duty free stores.

I am hooked on LaVanila perfumes right now. They are natural, contain no harmful ingredients, and smell so good! My favorites are the pure vanilla, vanilla coconut and vanilla blossom.

Oops. LaVanila probably isn't at Duty Free. However; if you're around a Sephora store, check them out.

They sound fabulous but I'm in a small town in New Zealand and Sephora is nowhere near me. perfume is my one beauty, "I know this is bad for me" indulgence, so I love the idea of something without the harmful ingredients.

Yes. I love anything scented- perfume, lotions, candles, etc. I was so happy to find the LaVanila line, and they are quality products. Pacifica is another line that is all natural and I have their fig perfume, but LaVanila smells better and lasts longer in my opinion.
