Rec your babywearing sling/carrier

Moby? K'Tan? anything else?

I used the Baby Bjorn with DD, but it killed my shoulders! I'm sure with 2u2, I'm gonna wear this baby a lot!

We loved our Moby until 5-6ish months...but I wore it every evening when folding laundry, getting ready for the next day, etc.  We got the Ergo around 8 months and love it!  We've used it on a few vacations and it worked perfectly.  Surprisingly, DD was able to nap in the Ergo (back carry) as I walked 3 miles to Wrigley Field from a hotel...HOT JULY DAY... I carried her all the way back after the game and was not sore.  I think the Ergo is amazing. :) Good luck!

  • I love my Ergo!  I also bought and love my ring sling from Sleeping Baby Productions.

  • I have a Beco and my son loves it.  If I were you I would pick between a Beco and an Ergo.  I know that Baby Bjorns are very popular but they are awful for mom's back and also don't hold the baby in a good position either.  Beco and Ergo carriers on the other hand, distribute most of LO's weight down to your hips and also put your LO in the "right" carry position.  (LO's butt is lower than his/her knees).

  • Love the K'Tan, not as much work as the moby. I use the ergo all the time now since S is older. I had a Bjorn and hated it, I couldnt wear S longer then 15 minutes before my back hurt.

  • Love the ergo back carry for getting stuff done around the house or hiking. The ring sling hip carry is my favorite and is great for things like shopping, walking around weddings/parties when D is tired, etc.

  • I have a Bopy brand sling that I used a ton when he was an infant, an Ergo that I used a ton after he was six months, and a custom made sling type one that just slips over you and comes in sizes to wear LO on your hip and a Moby.  I didn't use the Moby a ton, because I got it when he was 8 months-ish and it is more for a younger and smaller baby in my opinion because of the stretch, but I will use it with the next LO.  Also, I used the hip one between when my DS was 11 months and 13-14 when his walking wasn't the greatest.

Oh, and I also had an ultimate baby wrap, that I did not like, way, way too stretchy.  It is the same idea as the Moby, but once I'd put him in, he'd be all tight, but after a few minutes he'd be hanging down.

  • I love my Beco Butterfly- still using it and ds is 21 mo old. Very comfy, no matter how long I wear him.
