Anyone else getting to the point of needing new panties?

I was tugging up some panties after a long relaxing bath yesterday and noticed they're getting a little snug. WHAT? I've only gained 5 pounds and I've gained more than that in the past and not had this problem. What's going on? I had to tell DH that I need to go panty shopping soon, and they might turn out to be grannies.... ugh.

Anyone else finding panties don't fit in addition to bras?

  • Don't have the panty problem yet but I can empathize! I'm into bigger bra's though. I'd rather have had to go panty shopping, bra's are much more expensive.

  • Yes, I went to Target this past weekend to get a size larger in panties and bras.  I didn't give in to the grannies yet, I'm still fitting into my work pants with the Be Band, so I'm going to rock the thong as long as I can.  One thing I can't stand is the VPL if it's avoidable.

  • Weeks ago.  My butt decided to grow before anything else!  Target granny panties rock... sorta

  • I suggest looking into some "Barely there" bikini ones. They are soft, comfy and they breathe. I wore these before my son, all the way through my pregnancy (I got huge) and after. I love them. I get mine at Kohl's, but I'm sure they sell them other places or online.

VS has some great lace-top cotton hiphuggers that are great for this... cute, comfortable, no VPL.

  • I am going to have to do something because I HATE panty lines.  I am trying to sport the thongs as long as I can too!

  • You know, the scale says I haven't gained any weight, but my tape measure gave me two more inches on my hips!! What's going on!?!

This is probably a good time to buy super stretchy everything. I've been living in sports bras and non-cotton undies. Good luck on your shopping trip!

Sometimes we wear stretchy pants.  It's for fun.

  • Yup. I'm up only 5 pounds too, but the most comfy pair I currently have is unfortunately a granny panty style made by Jockey. Guess I'll have to go stock up on those. :-/

  • Yes! I haven't even gained 5 pounds yet, but I have pudge that pokes over the edge of my panties. Last night I noticed that when I took them off it looked like I still had them on b/c of the lines....

  • I haven't gained any weight, but my panties fit like I did! They're just not comfortable anymore. I was planning on going to VS this weekend. I have one pair now that I love to hang out and sleep in, they're the Body by Victoria bikini. I also like the PINK by VS lacey thongs for work; no panty lines at all!

  • My theory is that when my Hanky Panky thongs stop fitting, I'm buying Hanky Panky maternity thongs.

I'm definitely done with my regular pants (except for with a Be band, but I haven't found it that comfortable), but my undies still mostly fit. I anticipate needing new ones in a couple of weeks.

  • I didn;t need new ones with DS but we'll see this time around. With DS I wore Calvin Klein bikini briefs. that sit lower and were really comfy.

  • New underwear was the first thing I had to buy!!! Mine felt sooo tight at about 8 weeks. (I've now gained only 2 lbs). I don't know why they got so uncomfortable so quickly!!!   I usually wear the H&M little boy short ones as my comfy underwear, and I even bought a size up and they aren't comfy.  My most comfy now are some of those string bikinis that come in a bag of 5 or 6 from Target.
