Anyone good with color? I need help!

We need a new comforter/duvet and I want to take this opportunity to change the color scheme of our bedroom.  The only thing that won't change is the wall color.  It is a golden beige (Ivoire by SW) and I can't come up with colors to go with it.  Currently our comforter is ivory with gold accents and the curtains are merlot.  Our furniture is cherry.  What colors do you think would go with the walls?  I can't seem to see past our current color scheme but I know I want to get away from reds and I'll never get an ivory/white comforter again as long as we have dogs/kids!
