Re: Omega 3 fatty acids

  • Yep. I've been taking them since before the pregnancy but my dr does recommend them in pregnancy as well.

  • I have been taking Whole Omega (Omega 3,5,6,7 and 9s) since we started thinking about conceiving. It is kind of expensive but both my doctor and FIL (who is a doctor and does not recomend anything) recommended

  • I just went in for my first doctor visit today! It was exciting but I still don't feel pregnant. I have some symptoms but I can't wait for next weeks ultrasound. My doctor said that I need to be taking fatty acids but not from fish due to mercury levels. She suggested Expecta as a supplement instead of fish oil. Congratulations!
  • My pre-natal contains 400 mg or mcg (I forget) of DHA.

  • I hate fish and was worried about burping up a fishy taste at all later on so ended up using Mega Red, it's an Omega 3 without mercury in a small caplet. It's worked great so far even with not feeling so super great the last few days.
