Can B6 make you sick?

I'd been taking it originally with the unisom to help me sleep, but then I was sleeping fine without the unisom, so I just started taking the B6 by itself.  I've been really sick all week.  Last night I forgot to take the B6 and today I feel great.  Is it just a coincidence, or could the B6 be making me have bad m/s?

Re: Can B6 make you sick?

  • I'm not sure - I do know that B complex vitamins are water soluble so what your body doesn't need it rids in your urine.  I wouldn't think that's it but it could be - stop taking it for a few days and see what happens.

  • I dont think the b6 is causing you to be sick. I think NOT taking the unisom is why. When I started getting morning sickness I thought I'd take b6 and see if just that would work. It didn't. So i staretd taking both and ever since then its been great. They dont tell you to take the unisom for sleep purposes. Its specifically to help you stop throwing up.

  • I didn't read the part where you felt great today without it. You can try taking neither and see what happens. It won't hurt.

  • I was having some bade m/s at the beginning so my doc gave me PNV with extra B6 in them. They made the m/s worse, so I stopped taking them and switched to my old PNV.
