What do you do to save money??

I would love to start doing coupons but I'm not really sure where to get them.  Our Sunday paper used to go right into the recycling but I loved the coupons.  Looking for websites for coupon suggestions and other ways you ladies save money.

Thanks!

  • I find most of my coupons on coupons.com or shortcuts.com and then get them from the Sunday paper. I also follow blogs like moneysavingmom.com too because she alerts you to deals and also coupon match ups at your local grocery stores.

    Hope that helps.

  • I pay for everything with my credit card then pay it off at the end of the month. It really helped me realize how much I was spending and also I had a record of where I spent. It is really salient, too, because you have to write out that payment check and it's like, "shiit. I shouldn't have stopped at Starbucks so much," or "I could have skipped a few trips put and saved on gas," etc.
  • I upped my hooking to 4 nights a week and cut back on my crack habit.
  • I coupon, follow money saving blogs/tips, meal plan, etc.  But the biggest thing that I do is track our spending on a big excel spreadsheet.  It's kind of the same principle as tracking your eating.  If you know that you are going to have to write down where every penny went and be accountable for it you thing twice before buying something.  It has helped me a lot to have a better understanding of where my money is going and helped me curb some unnecessary spending.
