Curious of your symptoms.

4 days post methotrexate my levels are still going up. I'm stressing and now have shoulder pain (could be stress). Just wanted to get someone's opinon.

Where is your beta at? I had a bump in the 48 hrs after my mtx injection and then it began to drop. I would go ahead and call the dr about the shoulder pain, I only had that with one of my tubals and it was significant (I ended up in the ER). They might have you come into the office for a pelvic exam, esp if they never visulaized anything in your uterus. This all sucks and I'm so sorry you're going through it.

I've never had an ectopic so have no advice but wanted to say I'm so sorry this is still going on. I second MAH's advice to call the Dr - not worth taking any chances. Let us know what happens. {{hugs}}

I've had an ectopic...but it was realized so late, that I had to have emergency surgery to remove my tube. So sorry you're going thru this!

Ugh, I'm so sorry you are going through this.

I don't know if I had an ectopic is was never confirmed nor denied. But the Mtx shot took care of everything.

If you are having shoulder pain, I would call the Dr or, if they are closed, go to the ER just in case....this can be a sign of a ectopic rupture.

Glad the shoulder pain is gone and I wish I could tell you different, but it is a long process. My dr had me back every 2 weeks for a beta draw until I was <5. Once your betas start to go down, the seem to go down quickly until the end and you do spot for most of that time. All I can say is hang in there, it sucks but you'll make it. Take care of yourself and your sanity!

I see you already proceeded with calling your doctor, which is exactly what I would have suggested. I had an ectopic that resulted in an emergency operation and internal bleeding. Luckily, they were able to save the tube but no less scary. I'm so sorry that you have to keep living this when I'm sure at this point, you just want it behind you. My only advice is to take some time for yourself. It gets better...promise.

I understand your pain... I got the metho shot on July 21st @ 5 1/2 weeks... they said if I have ANY shoulder pain to contact them immediately (my speciallist even gave me her cell number to call on Sunday, just incase). It's THAT serious!

So you know... I've been bleeding/spotting/bleeding/spotting ever since. Figured I'd let you know so you could prepare... no one told me this would happen??? It's almost as if you can't mentally heal from the loss of the pregnancy, because your reminded everyday, every time you pee, every night when you go to bed next to your husband and can't "TTC"... 6 weeks after I was told "there's something wrong"... I'm still reminded that I FINALLY got a ppt, but it was "wrong".

On the positive side... I was told to take large amounts of Folic Acid because the MTX depleates the body of it, and makes it harder for your body to heal, so I have. My beta is down to less than 0 (not exactly sure how you get negative hormones... but I got'em?), I get put on BC for a month to stop the bleeding and reset my body, and then were back to TTC!!! YAY!!! I was told it can take up to 6 months to get the go-ahead from a Dr. after MTX, but we'll be gack on track in less than 3! Also, some people say your way more fertile after a d&c or MTX... so we will see?
