Yes, it is. The normal range is anywhere from 2-18, but I think most RE's like to see at least 10 for non-pg cycles, 15 for pg.
My old doctor told me my pro level was "fine" last October. After three losses, I finally found out my level was only 6.4. My new doctor said pro is definitely an issue for me, so I'll most likely be on pro injections when we start TTC again.
Even though it's low, it's an easy fix. You'll just need pro support after you O in case you are pg. HTH!
I think once you O unmedicated it should be 10 and medicated over 15??
Yeah, that's what I'm reading right now. Looks like 5 could mean you ovulated, but a weak ovulation? Fvck me. Bring on the clomid.
Did they say anything else to you on the phone?
No, I just spoke with the nurse. I asked her if that was low and she was like, "well it says it's in the normal rage, but you'll need to talk to the doctor." I go back on CD3 and will talk to the doc about it then. I feel like this is why we lost the first baby now. My old OB never tested prog.

Thanks for the info. My old OB never tested prog. either. This new OB is much more helpful so hopefully this will be an easy fix. I just feel kind of overwhelmed right now.

Anything over 5 indicates some sort of ovulation, but drs like it to be at least 10 on a non-medicated cycle and at least 15 on a medicated cycle, in order for your body to allow for implantation and support a pregnancy.

That is low. My doctor stated he wants to see it no lower than 10. That is why he put me on Femara and wow has it helped. I would be asking your doctor about that if he hasn't already done do.
