I'm taking Madeline to see my mom tomorrow. I have most of the logistical stuff figured out, but the one thing I can't square away is how to travel with the base of the infant seat. I am trying to avoid checking stuff at the counter because it gets too beat up. And I'm taking our snap and go frame versus the gigantic travel system stroller (biggest baby purchase mistake we made).
Any ideas?
Re: Flying with infant car seat + base
I put the base inside my suite case. I have a travel system so I checked the car seat and stroller at the gate. You could check the base at the gate too, you just have to get a tag for each piece.
I check them at the counter.
I actually watched them handle my carseat this time (window over the wing) and they walked up, took it out first, and handled it very gently. THEN they attached the convyer belt and threw the other luggage around.
It made me feel better.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
We checked our base at the counter and they put it into a bag for us.
