1st Trimester

Is it True.....

Is it true when you are pregnant for the second time that your bump appears earlier?

I am asking because I was flat last month and I know for a fact because I was fit for my June wedding. But now at 6-7 weeks i'm a bit pug.  My last pregnancy 5 yrs ago, my mom nailed me on the nose and asked me was I preggars when I wore a fitted top at 8 weeks.

I am curious

Re: Is it True.....

  • For me it has been!  I swear at 10 weeks I look like I did at 20 weeks with DD.

  • OMG me too.  With my first one, I didn't show any till I was 6 or 7 months.  This time I am 9 weeks and look like I am 7 months pregnant already.  My doctor said it is more bloat than anything, and it is because your tummy is not as tight as it was before the first child.  I get so embrassed when ppl come up to rub my belly and then say so when are you due? lol huh March lol

  • yep, true for me - when I was pregnant with my second, I was definitely showing earlier than my first.. and I'm pretty sure this one is going to be even earlier than the 2nd. Indifferent

  • that is funny because i was just talking to one of my friends this morning about needing some maternity hand-me-downs. when my husband is rubbing my belly i just want to say "honey that ain't the baby yet it is just belly" but of course i don't but i definately fight that thought. it makes me feel better that there are so many others that this is normal for.
