When Is It a Good Time to Start Telling People?

One of the main reasons why I am asking is because I work in the IT field which requires me to bend, lift computer equipment, crawl underneath desks, etc.  The type of lifting I do mainly consists of flat screen monitors, CPU towers, printers (on the occassion large network printers).  Since I am still early on in my pregnancy I am a little worried.  DH told me he doesn't want me lifting anything anymore.

Is this a good time to tell my supervisor so that I can start restricting my lifting?  I'm just not quite sure....

Thanks!

  • Thanks, you all confirmed what my gut feeling was telling me.

I have a few projects underway where offices will be recieving new computer systems, so that means I would be lifting monitors & CPUs for hours on end.

    Thanks again!
