1st Trimester

aaaaaand it begins.

A coworker patted my tummy this morning and said, 'good morning baby!'

::sigh::  It's going to be a loooong 7 months.

  • that's why I'm glad we haven't told anyone yet. =o)
  • I hate this with my previous pregnancies, I eventually told a co-worker that unlike when you rub a budas tummy I would not bring them good luck but would probably throw up on them.

I couldn't hide it now if I tried...

At this point, I look like I did at 20 weeks with DD.

Yup.  The only way to hide it now is to wear maternity shirts.  And then people would ask why I'm wearing maternity shirts, lol.  It was easier just to tell everyone.

  • Ugh! I actually slapped my MIL hands last time- belly is a no touch zone! I called out a woman in the grocery store once and asked her if I could poke at her breasts- why to you want to rub your hands up against the swelling of my uterus?!?!? DH is the only one allowed to touch the belly!

Just reading this made me cringe- I'm dreading the protective ninja moves again!

  • I think I was 6 - 7 months pregnant with Jack when a coworker walked up to me one day, grabbed my bump with BOTH HANDS and started SHAKING it up and down and making kissy faces.  I was so shocked I didn't know what to do, and then a bystander said something like, 'OMG that is so inappropriate!' and then grabbed the coworkers belly fat and started shaking IT, lol.

It was probably the funniest thing I've ever witnessed.  Coworker never touched me again, lol.

This is hilarious...and unbelievably awkward!  I have no idea what I would have done in that situation.

When I was 6 weeks pg with DD a not-so-close friend rubbed my stomach and said "hello baby".  I promptly told her that what she was rubbing was in fact my stomach and not the baby.  I told her the baby was much lower and I didn't feel comfortable with her touching me there.  I don't think she touched my stomach again.

  • Its uncomfortable enough when people do that when you're huge but when you're not even really showing yet its just bizarre!
