Some random dude in his 20's just knocked on my door. I thought it was the neighbor at first, so I opened it. He hands me a bottle of dish soap, asking me if I have ever heard of their company. (Um, nooooo...) Goes on to explain that he & the girl standing next to him need to shampoo one more carpet tonight in order to make their daily quota, and it won't cost me a cent. (WTH?) I'm so caught up in the idea that some random just pulled up to my house in a mini van, knocked on my door & handed me dish soap that I can't wrap my mind around the craziness coming out of his mouth. Now I can't stop creating conspiracy theories about how they want to break into my house & steal my baby. Who does door-to-door crap anymore anyways?!?!?!
Weird item #2- last night I get a super random email from my ex-boyfriend from college, explaining that he was home going through old stuff & he became nogistalic going through all our old photos & letters. He said he never told me how much I truly meant to him & he regrets his "costly" mistake of letting us grow apart after our 2.5 year relationship.
I'm queen of weirdness today!
Re: Weeeeiiiiiird!
Item #1, no worries, people still try to do that here all the time. Companies are still dumb enough to pay people to do that.
Item #2 WTF &
I'd be skeptical of the door-to-door people as well. Shady.
So did you respond to the ex-bf?
I think it WAS Kirby, Blayne! THis makes me feel better (a little).
I did not respond to the ex...he said he doesn't expect me to, he knows I have a family & doesn't want to stir up anything. He said he just sent it because he had been harboring the thought for 10 years now & he knew that I had a heart & would understand the need for him to get it off his chest. The last time he wrote to me was literally the week we got engaged & I deleted the email without responding. Even though I have ZERO feelings for him, I think it would be strange for me to respond in any way. (But I kinda feel bad ignoring it, too...now it's like the elephant out in cyberspace!)

What a strange, strange day!
On the note of the ex...I'm not positive what your religious beliefs are or how strong your knowledge is of bible stories, but I remember you having Hayden baptized and her cake was a cross, so here goes a little laugh for you, hoping that you know what I'm talking about. My BF's mom who has known me since I was 5, asked my BF one time, "Why does Natalee always seem to have all of these Lazaruses in her life?" Every time an ex contacts me out of nowhere I remember this and it cracks me up. Apparently she refers to exes that come out of nowhere as Lazaruses because it's as if they come back from the dead.
#1- That sounds like a Kirby salesman. I used to get them at my door all the time when I lived in Wyoming.
#2- Its so weird when ex's decide to email. I had one email me recently and I was stupid enough to respond just because I didn't want to seem rude (he works with my mom and is cousins with my SIL) Well when I told my DH about it he was so mad that I responded so I don't blame you for not responding.
