Hi Ladies,
Well, little girls arrival will be here sooner than later and we need to find a middle name!! We have decide on Gwendolyn for a first name, our last name begins with 'G'.
My DH loved Gwendolyn Ashley, but then her initials would be G.A.G!! I can't do that to my precious little girl!
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks! :-)
Re: Need your help with a middle name . . .
Gwendolyn Marie
I think of Gwendolyn as a (beautiful) old fashioned, royal name so I would put another timeless name with it.
Gwendolyn Mary or Gwendolyn Jane
Hmmm...I'm thinking something that's one syllable, such as Rae, Lee, or Rose.
Good luck!
Gwendolyn Maeve just popped into my head
Gwendolyn Elizabeth
Gwendolyn Grace
Gwendolyn Kay
Do you have any really special women in your lives whose names you like? I think sometimes it's nice when a middle name honors someone who is important to you.
Some other suggestions that I like: Patricia, Rebecca, Taylor, Ainsley, Elise, I could go on and on...
Oops, probably don't want Ainsley - sorry!
I know its a lot of alliteration but I really like this suggestion.
This. I like Rose!!
Personally, I dislike it when people just give random middle names to their child. Better not give them a middle name at all then to say "oh, I just asked some people on the internet what they thought your name should be."
Middle names aren't used often enough in our society to just throw them in for the hell of it. If you have another name you like, or something that's special to the family or otherwise has meaning to YOU (our family has a tradition of giving the children literary middle names), then do that. If not, then don't just stick Lynn or Grace or Rose or Marie in there for the hell of it.
PS: Gwendolyn is a gorgeous name!
I completely agree. In my family Middle names are family names, maybe your childs godparents name, a grandparents name, something special, not just an extra name. Maybe choose something special to your husband and you. For example, your favorite flower, song, city. But I think middle names should have a special meaning.

Wow, you're touchy! See what you did there? I said "I dislike it when this event occurs" and you turned it into a personal attack and said "I dislike PEOPLE" (meaning me). That's so sweet of you. She asked for opinions, I gave it. You don't have to agree, but leave the eprsonal attacks out of it, huh?
I love that you somehow get the idea that my family is "exalted." Yeah, we're the freaking Rockefellers.
Ladies,
You gave a lot of great suggestions! Thank you so much . . .
I like the idea of using a family name, but they really don't work because of our last name! :-(
I like Elizabeth but am concerned that her name will be too long - Gwendolyn Elizabeth . . . .
Marie and Rose are pretty - this is such a daunting task!!
