I am just peeking in here for the first time, and everyone seems to have sent their children to school already. School doesn't start here until September.  Anyone else have September starts?

    We dont start until next Monday (30th)  L will be in Kindergarten and then K&K start their 2nd year of preschool Tuesday (31st)  They all have full day school so it will be a nice break for me on Mondays & Wednesdays when they have school and Im off from work.  We have had a busy summer and we have weekend trip coming up over Labor Day weekend.  Im ready for them to go to school so I can come home and get the house back in order.  We have been too busy and by the end of the day Im wiped out so the house is horrid.  :(  

    On the other hand I cant believe my little boy starts his school career on Monday.  He is a big kid now and I cant help but be sad.  I know Im going to cry.  Mainly because I know he is nervous and scared and will probably cry so that will make me cry more.  

    What grade is your dc going into?

    The kids start Monday the 30th but most of the other school districts in our area already started.

    We start the last week of August here, but that is only for private schools.  Public schools are required to start after the Labor Day holiday.

    My kids start on the 2nd, and then have another two day week the following week because of Rosh Hashanah and Labor Day. At least it's something to start with :)

    We start Sept 1st, which is a week later than we used to (but thanks to CA state budget cuts our school year is now shorter)... and even that seems early to me, as I grew up in upstate NY and never started until after Labor Day!

    School here starts the Tuesday or Wednesday  after Labor Day (depending on district).
