For those second and third and fourth time moms, what breast pump would you recommend? Especially for a working mom who will have to pump outside of the privacy of the home?
I had the Medela Pump'N'Style with my first two pregnancies. I LOVED it. More comfortable than the Aveda(?) that I had. I only had the Aveda single manual, but it sucked big time.
I used the Medela Pump in Style as well, and it is wonderful! Kind of pricey, but totally worth it. Some insurance companies will cover all or some of the cost of your pump, so it is a good thing to look in to.

You want a double pump that pumps milk in less than 15 min. Medela PIS awesome! Some hospitals also rent pumps that are just as great. Medela comes in a nifty little bag that conceals that you are carrying a pump.
In this case...the more money you invest, the better!
I'm getting a Medela PIS this time. I really recommend against manual pumps even for SAHMs (which I know you said you're a working mom, so the Medela PIS will be great for you...I'm just saying this for other women who might read this). I had a terrible time manual pumping and didn't go out for things like mom's night out because of it. For a SAHM I would still recommend an electric, and I've heard good things about some Lansinoh electrics that are less expensive.
A possibility was born the day you were born and will live as long as you live.

I am still debating between Medela PIS and Lansinoh double electric. Both have great reviews from friends and from baby bargains. I'm leaning towards the Lansinoh, because I heard it works great with the car adaptor and battery back up. We don't have any place to pump at work, so I'll be in my car or an empty conference room.
1st child so this is info I got through other girlfriends, reviews, etc. I have also heard Medela PIS is great along with the next step up the freestyle (handsfree) I am leaning towards the freestyle just due to the very small size and the fact that in reviews women mention not having to be stuck to a wall/cord when you are pumping. I don't know for sure yet... I will not buy this until the very end of pregnancy.
1st time mom here but some others have stated the Medela has a tendancy for milk to back up. They stated the key is to have a closed system so milk doesn't go into the machine (allowing you to sell it later).
I exclusively pumped for 3 months (up to 7x/day) because my daughter and I had issues breastfeeding, and used the Ameda Purely Yours. Loved it! And I think it's at least $50 less than the Medela.
A lot of ppl like the Medela pumps. I got the Lansinoh double electric and it worked great! I'll be using it again. There is a new model, Lansinoh Affinity, that I would get it if I were to get a new one:
I had the Medela PISA as well and loved it. I bought a hands free pumping bra (which many women make themselves by just cutting 2 holes by their nipples in a sports bra- learned that too late) and pumped hands free with it all the time.
Def worth the $$

Need to say, when I had my Medela PIS I had the car charger for it and it was INVALUABLE! I went to the mall with my mom and sister one day for quite a few hours and left my son at home with his daddy (girl time) and was gone for 6 hours. My boobs were so full of milk as we were walking to the car it HURT. I was so glad I brought the pump with me, I pumped milk in the backseat as my mom drove us home!! Really hilarious, but SO good to have EBM, not be painfully full of milk, and know I didn't have to miss out on girl time because I had to bring a baby with me.
