my doc  is making me take antibiotics for a uti but  since i started taking them i seem to have  thrush. does anyone one know of anything that will sooth  it  other then creams.

    yeast infection  but  last time had  it  doc said was thrush lol. guess different people call different  things  but basically same  bacteria. I cant use  the creams as quite a few are soap based and im allergic as found out  last time.

    Antibiotics often cause yeast infections, but you should ask your doctor about it, since he/she might recommend changing the antibiotic or know what treatments for the yeast infection might interfere with your other medication.

    (And yeast infections are caused by yeast, which is a fungus, not bacteria.)

    i have to  wait  till next wednesday  to  go back . I just wanted to  know if there were  anythings i  could  do  without  using the creams before  i  go  back just to  sooth it a  bit .

    I get thrush if I drink beer in the caribbean. Weird huh?

    Just try to limit the amount of sugar you are eating and you can also swish your mouth out with salt water a few times per day. It should go away on its own. You could also eat plain yogurt (not sweetened).

    ETA: I'm not sure I'd be eating YI cream.
