Baby acne vs skin sensitivity

Reese's face & neck started breaking out about 2 weeks ago. When I was at the pedi for her umbilical cord, he mentioned that it was baby acne. Now it seems like her face is clearing up, but it's moved to her chest & back. Would baby acne be on the chest & back? Could it be a sensitivity to soap even though we've been using the same stuff since she was born (Burts Bees Milk & Honey)? I bought the Burt's fragrance free today to try that, but I was wondering what other people's experiences with sensitive baby skin have been.

    It could be baby acne, especially the back area. Think about how much she sweats when in the car seat etc....

    G only had baby acne on her face, but she now has eczema in some spots, which I am praying she will grow out of!

    Caroline started to get it on her face 2 weeks ago.  I asked the ped about it when I was her appt and she said that's the age that they start to get it and that's what it looked like.  It cleared up a lot, but I noticed this past week that she now has a little on her chest.  I think that Caroline's is baby acne, but I never considered that it was just sensitivity.

    Dani, what your describing sounds exactly like what Mari had. Don't worry, it'll go away. I did the same as you though and switched right away to sensitive skin burts, but it didn't make a difference. Mari's was gone by like, mmm, 6 weeks, I wanna say.

    I remember this phase, as well.  I even called the ped a few times but they kept saying what I was describing was just baby acne.  Hayden had it behind her ears & on her back , as well.  It will go away- it just takes time =)
