    I think it's nice if you're Italian and have an Italian last name. Otherwise, it seems too trendy, like you're a big Giada DeLaurentiis fan.

    I strongly dislike all the Gia/Giana/Giada names. I know an obnoxious little girl named Giada, nickname Gia and she has forever poisoned the name for me.

    I fail to see how THAT is easier to pronounce than Giada...which I do not like anyhow, but the above bold italicized name reminds me of goo-lash for some reason....Indifferent

    I think it's very pretty. I love Italian names, and I think it's one of the few that works whether your daughter is Italian or not.

    I watch the food network and love Giada so it has a positive correlation for me. I wouldn't use it but I think it's cute.

    Giada reminds me of the intestinal disease Giardia. I think it's terrible.

     Giuliana is also pretty bad. If you're Italian, great, but otherwise, what's wrong with Juliana?

    All these people naming their daughters Gianna and Giada are also doing it wrong. They are 9 times of 10 *not* pronouncing it as an Italian would

    Giada = Jah-dah (Not Gee-ah-dah)

    Gianna = Jah-nah (not Gee-ah-nah)

    Giovanna = Jo-vahn-ah (Not Gee-oh-vah-nah)

    So it comes off as just being a you-neek spelling, because most americans don't even pronounce it correctly.
