TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Possible UTI???

I called my dr to schedule an appointment because I think I may have a UTI or could it be a cyst????  Anyway, the last few days I have had a weird sharp pain on my lower left side and just a generally bloated kind of feeling...which at first I was attributing to ovulation until this morning....I woke up with severe, stabbing pain in that area which lasted about half an hour to 45 minutes.   Bad enough that I started stressing about ectopic pregnancy again........I hate that I am so paranoid......Anyway, I still feel the pressure but Im pretty comfortable which started me thinking it was a UTI even though I don't have any issues or pain urinating.   Anyone else experience this??

  • Ouch, when's your appt?

  • Oh no. I don't have any advice but hope it passes quickly. You'd think with all the pee sticks they have these days there would be one for UTIs!
  • The appointment is at 2pm.............pee sticks for UTIs would make complete sense!  So true!
  • I have no advice, but I hope the feel-better fairy makes a stop at your place really, really soon.

Yah, Im on CD 16 and cysts have been a consistent problem.......and the pain is definately localized on the left side.....so I had myself convinced it was O pain until this morning....although....other then this a.m. it hasn't been severe enough to concern me, yet Im sitting here now and I feel o.k.   I made the appointment with my internal med doctor vs my RE.....I wasn't sure who I should make it for, but at least I will know this afternoon.  Better safe then sorry.
  • that's how mine was too, it was so bad in the morning and then eased up and went away.  i always get bad o pain but last cycle was particularly bad.  let me know what they say if you dont mind.  i think i'm prone to cysts as well. i'm actually looking forward to my u/s next week so i can talk to my ob about it.

  • I'll let you know what they say

  • Hi Erica! I know by now you?ve probably had your doctor?s appointment, and I hope it went well. For future reference, though, I wanted to let you and others know that there are home tests for UTIs available at your local pharmacy, retailer or grocery store.

I represent AZO, and I can recommend the AZO TEST STRIPS. The product is the first combination test available for home use, testing for both leukocytes (white blood cells) and nitrite for greater reliability. They have the same test pads as the strips used by doctors and clinical labs. You simply wet each test strip in the urine stream for one to two seconds, and results are ready to read in just two minutes. I can provide more details if you are interested, just feel free to ask!
