February 2011 Moms

This just in...

One of my best friends just got engaged and is planning her wedding for April.  No big deal except I am going to be in said wedding no doubt carrying a few extra lb's! I'm starting to rethink some of my food choices in favor of more nutritious alternatives. Tongue Tied

  • you'd be surprised...I was 20lbs under my pre pregnancy weight a few months after having dd.  I have no clue how it happened and I never thought it would happen to me...but i was much, much thinner than before I was pregnant.  so you just never know how your body will react.  I didn't even breastfeed.  So don't worry just yet :)

  • I will say this. I BF DS and 4 wks after he was born I was back onto my reguloar pants and back to my pre-PG weight. I was still mushy in the middle, but they fit. of course that all went to shiit as soon as I returned to  my desk job after leave.

  • My twin sister got engaged shortly after I announced I was PG and of course, I am the maid of honor! Due in February, but at least the wedding isn't until July. That gives me 5 months to slim down...I hope I can pull it off!!

     This!

Also, I was the MOH in my best friend's wedding 6 weeks after delivering.  I too was squishy around the mid-section, but the style of the dress hid that well.

    GL!

  • I'm a little worried about this as well since I'm due 2/19 and in a wedding 5/21.  I'm thinking of just ordering the dress one size bigger than my pre-pregnancy size just to be safe.  I'm mostly worried my boobs will still be too big if I'm still breastfeeding (which I plan to be unless something goes wrong).  I'm also going to Jamaica a week later and I'm much more terrified of wearing a bathing suit for a week than I am the bridesmaid's dress.
