My Local board

It seems like my local board is all mommies. All they talk about is their children and daycare and other mommy things. I wouldn't care but I feel like they are not very helpful when I post a local question. Anyone else's local board like this? Oh, well good thing I have you ladies!!

Re: My Local board

  • I can understand that...I guess I am lucky that Cincinnati has its own Baby Board, so the local board isn't that bad.

  • I don't post on my local board, they is barely any activity on there last time I was on. They have their own "chat thing" I can't figure out how to get in. Sucks bc it would be helpful since I'm new to the area.
  • Yep, about a year or two ago my local board turned into baby central. It seemed everyone was giving birth, pregnant or TTC. I had to stop going there when every other day there was a BFP post, it was too much for me.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • I'm on the same board as you.  Yes, there are a lot of mothers and a lot of children and, yes, sometimes it is hard and can seem overwhelming.  But, I'm sad you feel that they (we) aren't helpful when you post a local question.  I've been on the board for years and never felt that way.  I think it is a very warm, open, helpful, and supportive board.  I'm sorry you're experience is different.
