Placenta implantation bleeding?

I started bleeding a little today and was able to see my doctor right away. He said that it was placental implantation bleeding. I'm 9 weeks today. He said the baby was fine and there wasn't anything to worry about. Apparently my placenta is low, near the cervix. That's the reason I noticed the bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this?

    I had some spotting last week (haven't spotted all pregnancy); maybe that's what it was from?

    He didn't mention that. He just said it was attaching closer to the cervix and that's why I was bleeding. So, I guess it could be that. (?) Hopefully it's something that will resolve on its own as time goes by.  I was relieved to see the baby's heartbeat, though. It made me feel a lot better.

    I had the exact same thing happen at 10 weeks with my first pregnancy. The spotting stopped on its own quickly. The doctor told me exactly what yours told you. Good luck!
