It has nothing to do with your eating habits hon. GD just is if it is and there's nothing that you can do to prevent it. That said, if you failed by 10 points, the nurse is probably right. Hang in there!
Failing the one hour does stink. I'm sorry. I hope you pass the three hour. Just imagine it could turn out really not fun and you could have to take the three hour twice. ::sigh::
FWIW, it's not what you eat that makes you pass or fail.
"During pregnancy, various hormones block the usual action of insulin. This helps to make sure your growing baby gets enough sugar. Your body needs to produce more insulin to cope with these changes. Gestational diabetes develops when your body can't meet the extra insulin demands of the pregnancy."
Sorry! It does suck - I failed the 1 hr & 3 hr too. Last Fri I spoke w/ nutritionist and she said the majority of us mamas are not doing anything wrong - it's just the pg hormones that are making our bodies wacky.
GL with 3 hr!

I'm not gonna lie the 3 hour does suck but your chance of passing it is really good! I failed my 1 hour horribly! Kinda freaked my OB out cause it was out of the blue. Then I did the 3 hour and passed with flying colors...good luck!

Thanks! That makes me feel a bit better.
I know how much that sucks! I needed a 130, and I had a 142. But totally passed the 3 hour.
Other than wasting a day off from work, and a realllly boring 3 hours, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Good luck!
