s/o PNVs. What kind do you take?

I take the up and up brand from target but my midwife gave me a prescription of Concept DHA. I thought about getting a DHA supplement. I wanted the gummy ones but they don't have any iron in them so I decided against them. Turns out iron makes you constipated so I might switch to them after all.

  • I love the gummy ones!! Makes them more fun to take!haha

You could always add an iron supplement later if need be. Regular prenatal vitamins made me sick when I was pregnant with DD, so I'm staying away from them

  • I take the Target up and up brand as well...It's the two pill pack that includes DHA.  You might look into getting that one if you're wanting DHA.  DH takes the regular adult gummy vitamins.  They look and smell so yummy!

  • I've been taking the target brand too with the DHA.  No problems so far :)

  • I'm switching from the CVS brand to Rainbow Light. For philosophical reasons only :)  I'm also taking a separate fish oil supplement (with DHA).
  • Early on in my first pregnancy I took the Target brand.  Then I switched to Prenate DHA. This time I started on the presription Prenate Essentials (they changed the name). I tried a bunch of prescription ones last time and settled on these...so we are taking them again.

  • I take a prescription PNV (with extra iron), with the target brand DHA. I also take extra folic acid and calcium because I'm lactose intolerant.

  • I also take the Target brand PNVs...  I supplement 600mg of Calcium and a DHA supplement...  I found a sale on Walgreens.com $7 for 30 (which is a really good deal - 50% off), $5 off $30, and free shipping with orders over $25!  So I used both and got an 8 month supply!EmbarrassedBig Smile
  • I take the Kroger brand for now, but I'm going to shop around and do some research later in the week and possibly switch. I'm also taking an extra folic acid.
  • I'm a vegetarian, so I'm going to be looking into getting some DEVA vitamins asap.  I've actually been taking non-vegetarian one's from Wal-Mart, but honestly, they gave me the heeby jeebies last year when I had to take them because I knew they weren't vegetarian Stick out tongue
