So my DS is only 6 weeks old and at his last appt the dr found a lump in his left testicle. She said it could either be a hydrocell or a hernia, either has to be evaluated by a pediatric surgeo and my little guy could need surgery. I know it is going to be way more traumatic for me than him but has anyone else gone through this? To top it off his appt is on the first day I am supposed to return to work, so needless to say work will have to wait one more day
Re: pediatric surgeon :(
My son was in NICU with a partially collapsed lung for 5 days after he was born, but I don't know if that's quite the same as what you are going through. I'll be sending T&Ps your way that everything is okay and that he doesn't need surgery.
I haven't been thru this, but my son has had 2 open heart surgeries. The first at 4 days, the second at 6 months. He's having a cath tomorrow to prepare for his 3rd and hopefully final open heart surgery. It's terribly hard sending them back for surgery/procedures. I wish you the best of luck!
