So DS will not sleep without being swaddled, but he rolled over two nights ago. I tried to unswaddle him last night and it was a major fail!!! He woke up every hour screaming. I finally swaddled him and he slept for the rest of the night. He was so exhausted by this time. Do I just need to toughen up and stick it out? I've always heard that they will let you know when they are ready to be done, but I don't know if DS ever will. He will be 5 months old in a little over a week, but he was a month early. His adjusted age would be 4 months. Any suggestions to help with the deswaddle? TIA!
Re: I need help (or just encouragement!)
try doing it slowly. unswaddle one arm at a time, or just his legs. or you could just try unswaddling for naps.

Ok, I'm going to be different I guess. We just stopped swaddling DD, because she was waking up every hour fighting to get out. I am a firm believer that they will let you know when they are ready, and to try it before they are, is just torture for everyone. If you're worried about rolling, try using a sleep positioner. We used one, as well as some tightly rolled receiving blankets to keep K from rolling.
Good Luck Momma!!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
DH and I just talked about this last night! We both agree but were concerned with the rolling. I never thought about using a positioner. It is definitely worth a try to see if it will hold DS in place! Thanks!
