If you have an anterior placenta, when did you first feel the baby move? I read an article that said that it can delay the mother feeling fetal movement, but no approximate amount of delay was given. I know it's different for every pregnancy, but I'd love to hear your experiences.

Re: anterior placenta & fetal movement
Hi! We have the same due date and I have an anterior placenta as well.. I started feeling movement about a week or two ago.. I know I was past 18 weeks.. I still only feel it in one spot.. which for me is on my left side, really low.. Like right now I'm sitting and the spot where I feel her is under my belly, like between my belly and my lap.. I can actually feel her right now.. Which, according to my theory is probably where the placenta ISN'T in the way? Who knows.. I could be crazy.. but I might ask my Dr when I go in next week.
They feel like little kicks to me.. but when I had my u/s a week ago, her head was on that side.. so I don't know if they are punches, or headbutts. or just squirming, or if she just moved..

Hi there,
I also have an anterior placenta. I started to feel regular movement around the 26/27th week. To be honest, some days I detect a pattern and then there are days when she is really quiet.
It does make it difficult to monitor kick counts. My doc said that if I am ever in doubt, then I should eat something sweet and then lay on my left side... that should get a response from baby.
