Not sure why I am surprised or care

DD has been sick and running a fever up to 103 on-and-off since Friday. I've posted about it on FB and DB can see my status updates. I've taken her to the dr twice and at this point have to wait it out. At no time has he checked with me to make sure she's doing ok. Granted, he can see the info from my updates if he reads the replies. But, for some reason it bugs me that he always wants it his way and blathers on about what a great dad he is yet he can't take a minute to check on his kid or call her. DB. One day I will stop my thick skull will *get* it.

Re: Not sure why I am surprised or care

  • I think that the reason sh*t like this blows our minds is because we are GOOD mothers and we would do anything for our children.  Our love for our children is so strong and it is mind boggling to imagine that our children's own flesh and blood simply do.not.care. about their children.

If he was really such a great father, would he need to blather on about it?  I think not.

  • No, we are GREAT mothers. :-) I always tell him "don't tell me, show me."

Maybe he will get a tat that matches Super Douche's that says "actions speak louder than words" to remind himself to do that-of course it will have to be in Chinese to completely match SD's.  If he wants to be as cool as him.

  • I like the phrase "those who squawk the loudest, are always the guiltiest".  Seems like he has to keep blathering on that he's the greatest dad because he's trying to convince himself he's not a huge DB....ehh...epic fail...

Hope your daughter gets better soon!!

  • I like that phrase and believe it's true. A, too bad they can't be cellmates as well. I'm sure they could exchange some good tips. Lol. Thanks ladies.

  • Yes, you are a great mother. It is so true that those who have to talk the loudest about it are trying to make up for the lack of action.

  • Sorry your DD is sick and hope she feels better soon!  You already get it....I think it's just naturally upsetting that your DB is in fact such a douche when it comes to DD.
