So...I know it's great to gain all this weight for the baby and that eggs are excellent for nutrition. I'm using eggs since I eat a lot of them and know how much cholesterol they hae. However, I was wondering what happens to all the gained cholesterol after the baby comes around??

I'm certainly not a nutritionist, but I've read in multiple health journals that high levels of dietary fat and especially saturated fat (plus a lack of exercise, heredity, etc.) are the causes of high blood cholesterol levels. If your diet contains mainly monounsaturated fats (olive oil, avocado, nuts), I believe I read you can eat 2 eggs 2 or 3 times per week with no ill effects on your blood cholesterol levels.
Do you ever read eatlikeme@self.com? You could write in and ask her (or search the archives). Cheers to healthy eating and healthy babies!
