Hi ladies,
I hope to be joining you here soon. Just wondering if you are really more fertile after a loss? I have heard so many different things. I guess I'm just trying to hold onto anything positive. TIA.

Re: So are you really more fertile after a m/c?
I've heard that before (this was my grandmother's explanation for me getting pg again quickly) but I think it really depends on the person. Maybe for some people it does (I got pg the first cycle we tried again), but there are other ladies that took a few months to a few years.
Well, I think it really depends. Some women here got pg immediately after a m/c while it took longer for others. Some of women have very long cycles or do not ovulate regularly, so that can affect how quickly they get pregnant. I got pregnant immediately after each of my losses and we had been ttc for 5 cycles before we got our first bfp.
It also depends on how long your doctor advises you to wait to ttc again. My doctor suggested I wait one cycle after each of the losses, but I know that other doctors will ask you to wait 3-6 months. This often depends on the length and type (molar, cp, ect.) of pregnancy. I would talk with your doctor about it and see what they advise and take it from there.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Congrats on your LO!!! For me, I ovulate regularly, DH has no issues, etc. We are unexplained IF. RE says we could do nothing and it could happen on its own or maybe not (how's that for answers.
) We tried for 2 1/2 years and finally got pregnant with injectables and IUI. I was so happy when we got pregnant because I actually thought my body just didn't know how to!
After the D&C for a missed m/c in June, RE gave me no restrictions. He said we could start trying right away, didn't even need to wait for AF. Needless to say, we didn't even bd until July b/c I just didn't feel ready and then it was o painful in the beginning. Otherwise, I'm going back in September to start injectables again.
I got AF in August and we are finally returning to our old selves again (bding wise). I used CBEFM and we bedded the 2 days I was ovulating. Wishful thinking I guess hoping this cycle I get KU this cycle on my own w/o any outside help.

The same thing happened to me. I can't say for sure that I was *extra* fertile but I got pregnant again before AF arrived after my early natural m/c. My midwife said that the cervix can still be a little bit open after the m/c which may attribute to getting pregnant more easily afterward. But I can say that I experienced noticeable pregnancy symptoms very early this time and knew I was pregnant days before I got a bfp at 9dpo. I agree that it seemed like my body was ready to get back to business.
