NBR: Clicky Poll; Decorators, opinions please

I want to use it to make a fixed valance for my bathroom window.  The box needs to be 39" wide by 16" tall, and I can make the sides as small as 3." The fabric is 44" wide off the roll, so its too short to wrap around two 3" sides, across the 39" front, and around the back to be stapled.  But, if I turn it sideways, I can order a yard and a half, and have plenty fabric to wrap.

WDYT?

Martha soon to be here (I just took a sewing class on Saturday) says no way!

    Bwahahahahahah!

Sorry, the flowers are gonna be sideways & yes, I would totally notice!

  • And after re-reading, you are only going to need to order 1 yard if you order it the way it is "facing" now......I would just make them 3 separate pieces or knowing the way your bathroom is set up, make the separate piece towards the wall your mirror is on so nobody will ever even notice.  Does that make any sense whatsoever?

Yes, it makes sense, BUT I would have to sew it then.  And trust me, sideways would look better than me sewing it.

I was thinking of cheating the fabric on the one side, because it will never be seen. Would that be better Martha-Ann?
