We were right - it's a girl! We had our anatomy u/s today and the doctor said that he saw absolutely no markers of Down Syndrome or anything else negative. He said she is right on track and he was telling us about the quad screen and I told him I'd had one and he looked it up and that confirmed even more that she is perfect. Yay! What a relief. (I was really scared considering I am 35 and the initial risk out of the gates at that age is 1:300.)
Now to try to find a name and go shopping!

Thanks guys! DH and I have no idea on names yet so that's going to be interesting. I like Madeleine but he feels like he can't say it right with his Russian accent. LOL
And I hate pink and my mother is about the biggest frou frou you can imagine (pink is her "signature color" and she wears it all the time
) so I told her that I will let her buy everything pink and I will focus on colors I like! (I was a bigtime jock and my mother is going to turn this one into a princess I have a feeling. Or try to!)

Oh that's a bummer. I was the same as you- I wanted to have the quad screen done so that the results could help confirm the positive or help make more sense of the negative if need be. My doc originally didn't want to do the quad first which makes NO sense to me. If something were to show up on the u/s, why make a mom have to stress out completely while she waits for her bloodwork to come back?
I hope you have an awesome scan that is so clear and perfect that a quad screen isn't even necessary
