belly button ?

I'm 5 weeks PP and my belly button is still dark on the inside. I'm starting to wonder if it will ever go back to normal. I've mentioned this to my mom and some friends, and they said I should be worried.

 

So my question is, should I really be worried or is it totally normal?

and if it is normal, when did yours go back to normal?

    I noticed that mine was still dark a few weeks ago but turns out (sorry, this is gross) it was just dirty.  Hooray for qtips!

    I asked about my linea nigra, and got lots of responses that some still had theirs for almost a year- my belly button is darker too, so I am hoping it fades with my line. 

    It's depressing that it can last that long (I'm very fair skinned), but at least it's "normal"

    TOTALLY NORMAL!  It's just dead skin.  I scrapped it out with my fingernail, then went a little too far and ended up needing some polysporin for a few days.  My linea negra has faded but hasn't gone completely away.

    It will go back, it will take time but it will go back. Mine was stretched out and dark looking for sometime after DD#1 but eventually it looked normal again
    My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013! image

    LOL, same here. It was a layer of dead skin that I clean with rubbing alcohol.
