Happy "Civil Union" Anniversary to me and SO!!
Today is my 2 year Civil Union anniversary! A short background: My partner and I got engaged in December of 2007. We began planning a large wedding in Pennsylvania for September, which would unfortunately have no legal barring. From the beginning we decided that we would do a legal ceremony in New Jersey for only our immediate family only prior to our large wedding. On this very day, 2 years ago, my partner and I (joined by our immediate family) had a very small and beautiful short ceremony in a garden in NJ.

Congratulations. Someday it won't be so hard or tricky for folks to be able to declare a union between loving partners.
