School-Aged Children

Talked to teacher

About her name being misspelled. She said she knew and they haven't had time to fix it. OK

Then I told her she was being called the wrong name b/c of the mistake so I hope its fixed today. And she said the kids probably got the folders mixed up.

Well I'm gonna try to have lunch with her today, have a cleaning at 10 and her lunch is at 10:25 but the dentist is on the same road as the school so I'm gonna try to make it.

Re: Talked to teacher

  • I read your post below as well.

I would stay on this like stink on sh!t until I felt the school was making it a priority to get my kid's name right.  That would SO bother me!!

The folder thing is probably no biggie -- it could easily happen.  But there's no reason a 5 year old has to spend 2 days being called by the wrong name.  The "eh-it's no big deal, we'll fix it" response you got would bother me too.

  • That is unacceptable.  If they knew it was wrong then it needed to be fixed immediately.  A child should not be wearing a name tag with the wrong name or be called by the wrong name for 2 days.
