Sorry I've been MIA...We were visiting my in-laws who live in the middle of nowhere in FL....there was no cell phone service or internet. I was going nuts!
So and update... we had our first u/s last Wed. TWINS! We heard two perfect heratbeats! We have a second one this Friday!!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Re: I've been MIA...
LOL
I have a feeling I will have some kind of auditory hallucination seeing the heartbeat for the first time. I'm that kind of crazy.
Congrats times two!!! We found out that it's twins for us on Thursday, and another poster here too (J&J507) found out around then too. Are you still in shock? It is starting to sink in for us, but I still find myself a bit numb (in a good way). The way we found out was at the first u/s when we saw the first baby and stroong heartbeat - and then the next. We were floored. How did you find out so early that it's twins? My HCG level was about 244 at 4 weeks, but I just thought that was a good number - I didn't think it meant there was a stowaway.
Congrats to you too! Even though we kind of thought we may have twins we're still in shock. It's just so exciting. Are you having bad m/s all day sickness? Mine started right at 4 weeks.
We had an IUI but theRE didn't think an IUI would work for us, so we thought we would give it a shot before moving onto IVF. We had two mature follicles at the IUI, so DH was convinced we were going to have twins, I honestly didn't think it would even work. Since we are seeing an RE, they do a few u/s to make sure everything is going well before they release you to an OB. If everything goes well, she'll release me to an OB at 10wks I believe.
Actually (please don't pelt me with rocks and garbage), I haven't really felt bad at all. I got a bit motion sick in the car one day recently, and have had momentary pangs of queasiness, but other than a few food aversions and getting a bit tired mid-day, I feel great. We never thought we'd even get pregnant despite trying, let alone with twins, but here we are!!! I look forward to getting to know you better these next several months.
Oh, and Ginger Snaps, Welch's frozen lemonade pops, and dried apricots seemed to help me when I was feeling a bit off.
