Everyone talks about getting their u/s at their doctor's appt, does your OB have an u/s machine or do you have to go to a hospital? I thought OBGYNs had u/s machines, but mine doesn't and I have to get a script, make a separate appt, and go across town to get an u/s. Is that typical?

Another reason for me not to love my OB.
The doc's office is part of the hospital annex so the u/s is in the office. I know the other ob in town does not have one and you have to go to the hosptial.
I never held you, but I always loved you.

I think it's pretty normal that you get sent somewhere else for u/s. Most people I know have.
The clinic I go to has their own. Part of the reason I love it is because they have seperate u/s rooms, and all of the machines are hooked up to flat screen moniters that hang on the walls. It is awesome to be able to lay back, relax and see the baby perfectly clear in front of you.
