embarassing situation - HELP NEEDED!!!

We had a friend of ours come out to see us yesterday.  He is a bit on the slower side and his hygiene isn't 100%, but hes a very good guy and we enjoy his company.  Well, he decided he was going to stay the night.  He slept on the couch in our family room.

This morning we noticed that our couch smells like BO.  We tried FeBreezing the hell out of it, but it still stinks.  Its a microfiber couch.  What can we do to get the smell out??

    First of all - ACK!  That sucks Ick!  Febreeze didn't help?  Wow, if it wasn't a couch I would say some time in the sun!  Can you air your house out really well tomorrow?

    Do you have a steamer vacuum? If not, just sprinkle baking soda and vacuum it. If you have a steamer, I'd do both. I do this to our couch because DS spits up a lot ;/

    Can you rent a carpet shampooer with an upholstery attachment?  If you get desperate, try renting the smallest ozone machine you can find--that's what apartment complexes do to get rid of smoke smell in smoker's apartments after they move.

    We have a Dirt Devil spot steamer.  I'd use that.  OR you could just use a damp washcloth with a mild soap/detergent and hand clean it.

    Baby wipe the cushions and set them outside to air out a little.

    Sprinkle some of this on the couch and leave it overnight.  Vacuum up, and repeat if necessary. It is totally natural and nontoxic, so you don't have to worry about pets/babies.

    That stuff is amazing.  I use it all the time. It is the only thing that can get the smell of burnt popcorn out of the microwave. Stick out tongue

    If you have a shark steam mop or know someone who does you can use the carpet attachment on your furniture it is a little hard since you have to push it like a mop. Or there is the new portable shark steamer and it has a furniture attachment. Ask around and see if anyone has it. You would be amazed how well it deodorizes and sanitizes
