Re: Any Military Wives out there due in Feb ???
Hi there,
I'll be 14 weeks on monday. My husband is leaving the 31st for Coast Guard boot camp for 8 weeks. He will miss all the fun stuff! Finding out what it is, feeling it move..etc. I wont find out where he will be stationed until week 5...this is our first baby and we've never lived away from here. Im very nervous about the whole thing and wish I knew it was a guarantee that we would be here especially with our entire families all living close. Needless to say, im struggling.
rant over
I am a Navy wife due Feb 21. DH leaves sometime at the end of the year so he will miss the first three mo of LOs life but I have accepted it. I don't get worked up over military surprises, I've learned to roll with the punches.
ETA: There are rumors that my DH will be flown home for the birth as well but I am not setting my hopes on it, he would be allowed to take his daddy leave before he goes back but I almost rather he just stay gone the whole time.
My DH is Navy, I'm ex Navy. My DH will have to go on small underways from here til January, either one or two night or a full week each month til Jan. He just got back from a 2 1/2 month underway 2 weeks ago, and he was on a 6 month deployment before that. After January, He'll be in for a good little while, til we PCS in March '12.
See if you can have family come stay with you right before the baby's due til you DH is scheduled to come home. None of my family could do it (We're in San Diego and ALL our family is in FL), so I'm grateful we had our church family to come and help me when I needed it.
Thank you its always nice to have someone to talk to whos going threw the same thing
